Mason celebrated his 4th birthday last weekend!  He had a great birthday!  He chose a Monster's University theme this year.
He celebrated with his buddies on Friday afternoon.

Can't wait to dig into their goody bags!
Thursday afternoon we gave him his present from us.  We might regret it later, but he really loves his drum set!!
Friday morning Brynley game him his present from her.  She bought him some Hot Wheels with her own money and gave him some of her books.  It was so sweet!
On Saturday we celebrated with grandmas and grandpas in Centerville.  We kept the Monster's University theme.  Gigi baked some delicious cake and Papa decorated it for the party.  It looked AWESOME!!  Thanks guys!

Hawkeye Football!

We went to a Hawkeye football game with the kids last weekend.  The weather was perfect and we had a great time!  Here are the kiddos waiting for the Hawkeye Express to come and take us to the game.
 On the train!
Grandma Jane and Grandpa Doran rode the train with us.  We didn't get to sit by them at the game, but went out to eat afterwards.
 Our Family
Watching the band, waiting for the players to come out of the tunnel.
Jeff took this picture and I thought it was hilarious.  We were right in the sun most of the game, so this is how a lot of our pictures turned out!
Of course we had to have some snacks at the game!
Mason and Daddy.  We were in the fourth row and the seats were great!
By the end of the game some people had left, so Mason got to go down to the front row.

Soccer Games

Mason played his first soccer game a few weeks ago.  Grandma, Grandpa, Gigi, and Papa were able to make it up for the game.  He wasn't quite the Mason we all know and love in the first few games.  He was really timid and didn't really want to play.  I think the crowd cheering and yelling was a little intimidating to him.  He spent a lot of the first two games asking me how much time was left in the game!
Getting rehydrated.  It was really hot the first two games.
 Hanging with the pack.
Probably asking how many minutes left.
 Oh, an airplane!!
This is from his game last week.  He seemed much more comfortable on the field and actually joined in the group and went for the ball.
 Getting a kick!

Air Show

An air show came to the Perry airport at the end of last month.  We thought Mason would enjoy going to watch it and the Roe's were coming back for it, so we got to visit with them too.  The planes did some neat tricks and Mason looked pretty amazed at some of them.  I thought the most amazing part was the wing-walker.  He stood on the airplane wing without being attached as it did loops and tricks in the air!
