Sharp Reunion ~ Ozarks 2013

We went to the Ozarks for our Sharp family reunion and Nani and Papa D's 60th Anniversary.  We had a blast!  Here is our group pic, kind of hard to do with nine little ones!

 We had a perfect place to stay at Coconuts.  These are our three houses we stayed in.  The top white one is 7 bedrooms and the bottom blue and pink ones have 3 bedrooms.  Plenty of room for our whole clan!

There was a cute little beach area where the kids could play at the playground, mini golf, swimming and this fun trampoline in the water.

 We had a boat we rented one day.  We took it out in different groups.  The cousins went on one trip while grandmas and grandpas watched our kids and we had a blast!  Then we took the kids out on a trip so they could try the tubing.  They all LOVED it!

 This was Bryn's first time tubing.  She was a little nervous at first, but once it got started she just wanted to go faster and faster!

Country Concert 2013

Jeff and I went to Ft. Loramie, Ohio for a 3-day country concert.  It was our first little trip without kids in SEVEN years!  We had a blast and are already planning on going again next year.  We saw lots of great singers (Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Chris Cagle, Chris Young, Lee Brice, and quite a few more).

 

Jeff loved taking these panoramic views.  There were just tons of people there!

We had a hot dog and marshmallow roast.  The kids and the dogs had fun running around the yard.  Brynley came up with a ring toss game, but unfortunately the ring was a dog toy and the dogs kept taking it and running!

Happy 4th of July!

We took a picture before heading to the 4th of July parade.  It was one of our better ones but we were missing Jeff. 

 So we tried the timer for the first time and it turned out pretty well, too!

 

 We went to the Adair's house before the parade for our second year.  They always have yummy treats and the kids couldn't wait to see their friends!

 Brynley worked up a sweat collecting candy!  I think they get more at the parade than they do for Halloween!

 Mason sat with Shannon.  As soon as Mason got a piece of candy it was opened and eaten while he passed his trash to Shannon (what a good sport)!

Summer fun!

 

 We went to High Trestle Bridge last weekend.  It has a really nice bike trail that we took to the bridge.  It was really pretty.

 Mason couldn't quite make it all the way across the bridge, it was a long way.  Dad thankfully wore a belt, so we could pull him back to the car.  The sky looks so blue and clear, but on our way back to the car it started to downpour and we got SOAKED!

 The kids wanted to go out and get sprayed by the hose.  Once they got out there they weren't so brave against the cold water.  Mason was screaming as he hid behind Bryn and the umbrella!

I was able to spend time with some high school friends.  I went to dinner with Kelli, Jessie and Brandy.  The next day Kelli and Jessie and I met with the kids.  It's hard to believe there are 7 kids between the 3 of us!

 

Chicago

 

We went to Chicago to visit Sarah and Brandon and their kids.  The first place we headed was to the park.  The kids rode their bikes and enjoyed playing together.

 We tried to get a good group shot.  This was about as good as it got for me!

 While we were there the girls went to the American Girl Doll store while the boys went to a Cubs game.

The boys had a rain delay, but waited it out and watched the whole game.  Mason and Carson had a great time!
