Hawkeye Basketball

We had our spring break last week, so we were able to go to the Hawkeye's NIT game on Wednesday.  We ended up getting tickets in the second row.  It was so much fun.  The kids were right in on the action!

Bryn wanted her picture taken with Herky.  Mason thought he looked mean and didn't want to be beside him!
He was ok with giving him a little fist pound, though!
We were so close to the players!
At halftime Bryn got to get her picture taken with the cheerleaders.  She loved it!
When we got back to the seats Mason was pouting because he didn't get to get a picture with the cheerleaders.  So I took him down, too.  Then he complained because he didn't get to hold the pom poms!
We also went to Incredible Pizza over break.  Brynley was excited to find out she was big enough now to drive the go carts by herself.  She did great!
Mason and Jeff getting ready to race.
Playing on a virtual ride game.

Happy 60th Birthday, Grandpa Doran!  We spent the weekend in Iowa City to celebrate Grandpa's birthday with Sarah, Brandon, Carson, Avery, Kassidy, Grandma and Grandpa.  Everyone had a great time!

 Grandpa with his crew!
Mason loved playing with Carson.  Here they are at Outback.
 Bryn and Avery at Outback!
The kids wrestling in the hotel room.
Ready to swim!  We went swimming both nights at the hotel.  I think the kids could stay in there forever.  They were all quite the little fish!
Bryn with her noodles.  She loved swimming from one end of the pool to the other.
Mason was wanting to be very independent in the water.  He was kicking around all by himself and by the second night was dunking his face in the water!
We went to the mall and the kids rode the carousel. Mason's favorite part was riding the cheetah!
 Bryn on her horse.

While we were at the mall we tried ice skating.  Here are the kids and Grandpa Doran waiting to get on the ice.
Carson got around pretty well ... while the rest of us
 stuck close to the wall!
Bryn and Avery making their way around the rink.
Mason did one lap with me and called it a day!
Bryn made it around quite a few times and never gave up, even though it was pretty tough.  By the end she was starting to get the hang of it!
We ended our fun weekend with some birthday cake!!
