Brynley is 8!

I can't believe Brynley is 8 years old already!  She loves having breakfast in bed on her birthday!
On her actual birthday she opened her presents from us.
On Friday evening we had a quick pj party with friends.  Bryn had a great time!

Nani's 80th Surprise Party!

I think our surprise worked, Nani looked shocked when she saw all of us!
Brynley said she wanted this picture of Nani crying to put on her wall, because she was so happy!
Nani was even more surprised when her friends started showing up.
Great picture of Nani and Papa D with their kids.
Mason and Quinn at the ominous table!
 Cake time!
Eric even made it to the party after sitting outside freezing all day!
 Judy made it from Missouri!
 Bryn and Payten
 Cute little Berklee!

Decorating for Christmas

We started decorating for Christmas on Thanksgiving weekend.  The kids love putting their trees in their rooms.  Here's Mason with his Hawkeye/sports tree!
Brynley decorated her tree completely on her own this year.  She did a great job!
I'm not sure how much longer Bryn will be putting the star on this tree, Jeff was straining a little this year :)

Halloween party and trick-or-treating!

This is a little late, but I just got around to downloading my pictures off the camera.  We had our annual Halloween party with the daycare kids.  We had spider oreo cookies.

Brynley's Music Concert

Brynley had her second grade music concert last night.  She did a great job!
Playing the xylophone with her class.
This was Bryn's favorite song.  They hid a locket and sang louder with the person who was finding it got closer to it.
They also had a song where they danced with a partner.  So funny to watch, Brynley said it was very embarrassing!  You can tell by her face she wasn't too excited about it!

Halloween fun!

Mason helped me glue and cut to make juice box mummies for his friends.  He did a great job!
Bryn helped make cheese ball pumpkins for her class and the daycare kids!  They took a while to do but she stuck with it!
Last night we carved our pumpkin.  Mason still didn't like the goo, but could take out one seed at a time with his spoon.
Mason got to draw on one eye and the nose for Jeff to cut out.
Bryn drew the other eye and the mouth!
Then the kids lost interest and Jeff had fun carving the pumpkin :)
 Our jack-o-lantern!
Saturday evening we went to Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo.  Brynley is a flapper and Mason is a country singer.  So cute!!
Here's Mason.  I had one of Bryn by herself too, but it didn't download right.
At Night Eyes they had different characters you could pose with.  Mason is pretty reluctant to pose with dressed up things, but he didn't mind these.
This rainbow lighted bridge was one of Bryn's favorite parts!
 Bryn at the pirate ship!
Every time Mason put his head in the cutouts his hat covered his face :)
Bryn made a great pirate face!
 They enjoyed the carousel ride.
That hat makes it a little hard for mason to see!
Jeff and the kids!  By the end of the night Jeff had Mason's guitar, hat, and candy bucket!  I was going to take a picture, but he had the camera, too!!

Patch's Pumpkin Patch 2013

It was a beautiful day yesterday when we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  We had a great time and the kids enjoyed all of their favorite things at Patch's!
 Bryn riding her horse.
 Mason on his horse, Joe.
 The cow train.
Mason wanted a pink cow (because pink and purple can be boy colors, too)!
Brynley loves going in the bouncy caterpillar, so she can come out of his butt at the end!
Mason just had to be buried in the corn pit or he wasn't going to be happy!
 Then Bryn did, too!
Racing their ducks down the waterway.
We rode the hayride out into the field and tried the corn maze again this year.  We weren't any better at it this year than we were last year.  I think we only found 4 out of the 8 checkpoints.  Then we were off to find our pumpkins.  The kids each got a pumpkin and had a great time!
