Snow, snow, and more snow!

 We had our first snow this winter.  It got us a couple extra days of Christmas vacation.  Mason woke up in the morning at 6:00 and went to the window.  Then for the next 4 hours he took turns asking Jeff and I if we could go play in it yet.  He had his shoes on by 6:30 ready to go!  We went out for a little bit around 10:00, but didn't stay our for long because it was freezing! 

 The kids had a blast rolling around in the snow.  We tried a snowman, but the snow wasn't right for one.  Mason wasn't very happy about having to wear pink gloves.  His water proof ones were missing, though!

These are just some random pics of the kids.  Mason loves to spend his evenings listening to country songs on the computer.  The glasses and baseball hat are paying homage to Eric Church.  Then he needed the cowboy hat for the others!

 This was in November when we went to the zoo and the kids could just wear t-shirts!  Mason enjoyed the fish.

 And of course Mason demanded a ride on the train before we could leave.

 Mason mastered writing his name by himself this month.  So proud of him!!

 He loves helping Daddy do the dishes, until he gets kicked out for making to much of a mess.

 We had a little cake for her on her real bday.  Our beautiful little 7 year old!!

Brynley's birthday bash!

 We celebrated Brynley's birthday this weekend with her friends.  They had a great time!  We had a craft party.  The girls personalized aprons, made a Christmas ornament and decorated cookies.

 Papa was kind enough to entertain Mason for the day.  They had a boys day at the Bass Pro Shop.  They had a great time and even made it back just in time for the cookies and ice cream!

 Papa made twinkie cake for the birthday girl.  It was delicious!!

 Papa and Gigi got Brynley a new desk for her birthday!  We got her some accessories to go with it.  Once we got it all put together she didn't leave it.  She spent Saturday evening and all of Sunday adding things to and organizing her desk space.

 On Sunday we went to see Santa.  Brynley was really excited and Mason was a little quiet about it.  He slept in the car on the way there and when we got inside he didn't want us to put him down.  After awhile he decided to get down and look at the display.  I don't know what that look is!

 When we got to Santa he looked pretty nervous, but he let me sit him on his lap.  He told Santa what he wanted, playdoh.  Brynley was so excited to see him and she told him she wanted a bead set. 

 Mason was very excited to ride the xmas train.  They even got to sit in the engine car so they could ring the bell.

Start celebrating!

Brynley had her first bday celebration on Saturday.  It's hard to believe that she will be 7 next week!  Grandma Jane and Grandpa Doran came with presents and cupcakes.  Brynley couldn't have been more excited to rip into those gifts!

 We let him use a candle, too.  Then he was as happy as could be!
